Aga Wojtuń

Aga Wojtuń is a painter among photographers and a photographer among painters. She thinks in images and paints pictures. Her work is featured on campaigns of prominent brands (such as Poca&Poca, Davidoff, Godiva, Wilkinson, Philips, Unilever, Dove, LOT Polish Airlines) and in the most glamorous fashion and beauty magazines (And Men, The Spoiler’s Hand, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Numero, Vogue, Fashion TV Magazine). She’s one of those rare creatives who combine art and business, treating both with the same attention, passion and regard. When on set, she works incessantly until an absolute harmony of colors, patterns, shapes, light and shades is completed. It’s in the movement of the hip of the model, her gesture, a fingernail or a curl that lies the perfection. Her influences are in art, movies and photography, from Peter Lindbergh’s iconic black-and-white universe, New York’s dusty, monochromatic allure, Michelangelo’s ephemeral “Blow Up” to classy Art Deco design and virtually all Sorrentino’s minimalistic films. The central inspiration, however, springs up from the work of Tim Walker, the most visionary fashion photographer of our times, who once said “Each shoot is a love letter to an object, sometimes several objects”. Aga, similarly, contemplates each artifact on set until she finds an ideal place for it to radiate its spirit, in unison with all the other objects, crafting ultimately an image-symphony for us, the astounded viewers.
